Timeline

11.26 PM Friday 27th October 2006 - An Angel is Born

Our beautiful baby boy was born sleeping. He weighed 10lb 3oz and was 23 inches long!

Early hours of Saturday 28th October 2006 - Our First Cuddle

We held Finlay for one hour and all our friends and family came in to meet him.

11.15 AM Saturday 28th October 2006 - Finlay Was Blessed

We had a chaplin come and bless Finlay and we got to hold him for one more hour. Grandad John and Nanny Lynn were there.

11.30 AM Saturday 28th October - Visitors

My best friends and Finlay's honourary Aunties all came to meet him and feel how heavy he was!

12.00 Noon 28th October 2006 - Goodbye...

We said what we thought would be our last goodbye and I handed my little Angel to his Daddy for one last cuddle.

Friday 10th November 14.00 PM - Our Final Kiss

The hospital called to say Finlay was back early from post-mortem so we rushed to see him with my sister who was abroad when he was born and wanted so desperately to meet him. We didn't cuddle him because we were told that he didn't feel the same anymore but we gave him lots of kisses and held his hand.

12.00 Noon Thursday 23rd November 2006 - Finlay's Funeral

We had nicknamed Finlay Moon-unit when I was pregnant so we had him buried in a beautiful casket called Moon Baby which had a picture of a baby on the moon.

The service was beautiful and we had Geroge Michael - The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face and Izrael Kamakawiwo`ole - Somewhere Over The Rainbow as his songs.

Instead of dirt we all placed teddies and flowers into his grave with him and his Uncle Darren relased a white dove.
